Individualistic Doers are self-assured and very independent persons. They are quiet and realistic, very rational, extremely matter of fact persons. They strongly cultivate their individualism and enjoy applying their abilities to new tasks. But they are also very spontaneous and impulsive persons who like to follow their sudden inspirations. Individualistic Doers are good and precise observers who register everything which goes on around them. However, they are not so sensitive as regards interpersonal relations and are surprised when they occasionally rub someone up the wrong way with their direct and blunt manner. They are not particularly fond of obligations; but if you give them space, they are uncomplicated, sociable and cheerful individuals.
Individualistic Doers enjoy challenges - action and the odd kick are simply part of their life. They love tempting fate and many people of this type have risky hobbies such as skydiving or bungee jumping. This also applies to their workaday life. Individualistic Doers are in top form in critical situations; they can grasp situations, make decisions and take the necessary steps extremely quickly. Hierarchies and authorities impress them very little; if a superior is not competent, they will have little respect for him. Individualistic Doers like to take on responsibility. They have a marked sense of reality and always find the most suitable and expedient solution for a problem. They resolve conflicts openly and directly; here, they sometimes lack tact but are also very good at taking criticism themselves.
As friends, Individualistic Doers are loyal and devoted; they only have a few friendships but many of them last a lifetime. People enjoy talking to them because of their optimistic attitude to life and their ability to listen. However, they prefer to talk about mutual interests and hobbies rather than about theoretical or philosophical issues - they are not tangible enough for them. They need a lot of freedom and time to themselves in love relationships but, at the same time, they are also very tolerant towards their partners. It happens very seldom that Individualistic Doers fall head over heels in love. They are far too rational. They prefer to pick their partner on the basis of mutual interests and preferences which they want to share with that partner. Individualistic Doers are not particularly fond of effusive outbursts of emotion. They prefer to prove their love by their actions and expect the same of their partner. Whoever wishes to tie an Individualistic Doer to himself needs a lot of patience. It takes some time before this personality type is willing to get involved with another person.

Eh.. Maybe?
Except this part: "However, they prefer to talk about mutual interests and hobbies rather than about theoretical or philosophical issues - they are not tangible enough for them. "
I TOTALLY love to talks about theorectical and philosophical theories!
I made a picture for Valentine's Day, so I had to make one for Lunar New Year. XD
Of course, I started the night OF that day, so I didn't get to finish until this morning. That's okay though, because it can also be like.. a 44-month anniversary bookmark of my relationship with technical MG (you know, the human one, that isn't imaginary. >.>).
St. Valentine's Day has never really meant much to me. I disliked feeling obliged to buy classmates cards. I mean, pick out cards? Remember names? Hand out cards? PLEASE. Waste of my time (I know, I had, and still have, little social ettiquette XD). The good part was the candy. :d It surprises me a little that even though I am in a relationship (you may notice I almost never talk about it--seems out-of-character for me if I did :> ), thoughts about it don't really surface any more significantly around Valentine's Day than it would any other day.
These days I use it as a time to reflect on romanc-y things, such as the relationship stuff that goes on between my characters, and for candy that will go on sale shortly after (--but I should really be dieting anyway.. :( ) Valentine's Day is a day where I can have a fun time blanking out and drawing frivolous pictures like the above (not like I don't do that every other day anyway).
Most of you do not know of this because I am a nobody on the internet, but I had a very long-running comic series known as Follow the Leader.
It's a very cheaply-made stick-person comic that is pretty much done with one square each. Sometimes there's a story arch spanning across the squares, or a joke that lasts over a few squares, but I usually tried to contain the joke within the individual square. I started the comic during the summer of 2001 as a way to amuse myself and fill up the space I had on my tripod website. XD It's updated in "batches", so I usually have squares out in multiples of 6 (because one 8.5x11 sheet of paper can usually hold up to 6 comic squares ^^).
It is very, very loosely based on the events of my life (plus my cousins, Merit and Emma), and covers a fairly wide range of subjects in a light-hearted and stupid way. :>
I hadn't touched the comic for over 2 years since 2004 because I was busy, had this deal I made with Merit (she's supposed to get off her butt and keep working on her version of Beneath Water, dammit!), and ran out of ideas. There just seemed to be this inertia that I had to overcome. I really regret not having continued it for so long. So many memories missed out on!
However, TODAY I decided I needed to go back and continue what I started and still love! I felt that this moment was so special that I had to write it even here. XD The newest squares are #715-738. It may do you well to start from the humble beginnings though. A lot of the older stuff is probably funnier than the newest stuff is just because I need ot get back into the groove.
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar', every 'supreme leader', every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam." -On the view of Earth from 3.7 billion miles as a pale blue dot, "You are here", from Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan
Our own sun will grow large enough that earth will start to rub on it's outer layers (will vaporise before that happens) in a few billion years.. that's over 180 million miles across at least.
Posted by jenov4 Maybe it's already happened a billion years ago and we're just the fragments of the light? Did I just blow your mind?
To think.. that everything that is meant to happen already has.. and right now we're just the left over residue of ourselves being played out (much like how a recorded piece of music gets played out on a magnetic cassette tape? :D)...
It's all so fascinating, this universe (or universeS) we live in. I love, love, love it all! I don't feel insignificant at all by this. It's almost liberating to see everything in this perspective.
It makes me want to say something.. like "And I waited all this time.. for nothing to happen.. only to realize everything has happened. Right here. Right now. *explode!*" And there's still lots for me to do before the tape needs to be rewound--but we're in the flash and HDD and parallel processors age anyway, right? XD Do we even have to do anything in sequence?
I BET y'all remember seeing THIS once before, but it bears repeating for those of you who said you'd do it last year but didn't (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! :D)

WHAT FOLLOWS IS REPETITION OF WHAT I WANTED XD:
Yes, I am STILL counting down to my birthday for when you procrastinators out there who have agreed to do the drawing will show me your great artwork! :D
Now, I have HEARD from at least a few of you peoples that what I wrote was ... CONFUSING?!?!! Seriously, it was so explanatory, I don't know how to make it more clear. BUT just in case you're still as confused as ever, I'm gonna put some time and effort into explaining this in a concise manner (not 20 pages this time! XD).
HOW TO MAKE A CRYSTALLINE GUARDIAN: (using my guardian, GLS, as an example!)
Step 1: What is your birthday? That is your guardian's birthday. Your guardian is 10 years older than you. EXAMPLE: me - July 28, 1984 GLS - July 28, 1974
Step 2: Look up your birthday in the chart provided here: http://individual.utoronto.ca/prax/universe/guardians.html click #3 (NOTE: THIS DOES NOT NECESSARILY FOLLOW THE WESTERN SIDEREAL ZODIAC DIVISIONS) Seaserpent: Jan 15 - Feb 16 Minotaur: Feb 17 - Mar 13 Mermaid: Mar 14 - Apr 14 Nymph: Apr 15 - May 15 Dragon: May 16 - Jun 15 Phoenix: Jun 16 - Jul 16 Sabretooth: Jul 17 - Aug 12 Griffon: Aug 13 - Sep 15 Unicorn: Sep 16 - Oct 14 Bloodhind: Oct 15 - Nov 15 Firebird: Nove 16 - Dec 14 Pegesus: Dec 15 - Jan 14
This tells you what TYPE of guardian you have. These categories are very general frameworks that your guardian is built around. I even list examples for each type. EXAMPLE: My guardian (GLS), falls in the SABRETOOTH category. Sabretooths can be ANY MAMMAL with OVERSIZED TEETH/TUSKS. They will USUALLY have WINGS. When I created GLS, I chose a very stereotypical form. GLS = sabretoothed tiger (stripes included!) with wings.
Step 3: Look up your guardian's specialty training. This will give you more information about their type (this is what they are trained in as a specialty of their type). http://individual.utoronto.ca/prax/universe/guardians.html click #5 EXAMPLE: GLS - Immortal Will ... also known as.. stubborn determination. :)
Step 4: Choose your guardian's gender. Could be male. Could be female. Could be BOTH.. and it could be NEITHER. I don't care. No one cares. ;) EXAMPLE: GLS - male
Step 5: This step arguably takes the LONGEST because it requires not only decision-making, but also for you to look up what I wrote about each element. Pick ONE or TWO elements that your guardian will sepcialize in. This is particularly important for those that like fancy magic/mana systems where you can imagine awesome fight scenes. These elements determine what your guardian is good at casting/absorbing. Elements are divided into 5 classes: Class 1: Heal, Psychic Class 2: Fire, Air, Water, Earth Class 3: Sun, Lightning, Ice, Forest Class 4: Star, Shadow, Moon, Holy Class 5: Creation, Void You can see them for yourself here: http://individual.utoronto.ca/prax/universe/guardians.html click #6
The general rule is that the higher the class, the more complicated the element is. So... THE COMBINED CLASS OF THE ONE OR TWO ELEMENT(S) MUST BE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 5. No one wants to see an "overpowered" DBZ-type guardian that is specialized in Creation AND Void AND Star, ETC.. ETC.. okay? EXAMPLE: GLS - Fire (class 2) and Lightning (class 3) = combined class of 5 He passes the element test! Does yours??
Step 6: Name your guardian. This may take you a while or it might take you a few seconds. Whatever. Your guardian wants a name, so name away! EXAMPLE: GLS - his name is actually Guardian LongSword. This is arguably not a very good name. XD That's unfortunate, now isn't it? :>
Step 7: Decide how you will draw your guardian. Your guardian will be able to appear in many forms depending on what you are most comfortable with and what your guardian is comfortable with. Elemental: an energy form that often look slike a mini version of their animal form. pro - requires the least energy; con - weak and generally useless Animal: often what is considered the form that they "naturally" come in at first. They look more like animals than humans. pro - powerful; con - non-human shape is cumbersome in some cases Anthro: this is their half-human, half-animal form. Some would call this a "furry", but whatever. pro - relatively powerful and can wear human clothes/gear; con - takes a lot of energy to maintain this form "Human": not really fully human, but close. Will often still retain some of their outrageous features. pro - looks human or superhuman. Blends in eaiser with us Earth-people, takes less energy than anthro; con - weaker than animal and anthro forms, and some remaining features will look like deformities or make them look like constant anime-convention geeks. oO * if they use extra energy, they can try to minimize these outrageous features, such as make their wings/tails smaller
EXAMPLE: Here is GLS in his many forms. As you can see, he has to retain his wings as a "human". You can't see it here, but his canines are also rather long as a human. Some may mistaken him as a vampire or demon of some sort.
Step 8: DRAW THE DAMNED PICTURE! Your guardian can look just about however you want. Give them any hair colour, body size, eye colour, weapon specialty you want. You can design them a uniform, dress them in casual clothes, or draw them in the buff if you REALLY wanted to. Of course, for the picture I am requesting specifically of you...
The picture should contain: - YOU (I should be able to see at least half of your body) - YOUR CRYSTALLINE GUARDIAN (I want to be able to see at least half of their body as well) - your name - your guardian's name - your guardian's category, (you can just draw on the symbol or type out the name of the category) - your guardian's element(s) (preferably the symbols drawn on the picture somewhere, but you can also write the symbol's name) - *OPTIONAL* your element(s) - your signature - the date of the picture's completion - *OPTIONAL* a "Copyright 2005." somewhere on the page/picture. - It should be COLOURED! Pencil crayon, marker, or computer. It doesn't matter. (if you can paint it or use pastels/chalk without being messy, then all the more power to you!)
Step 9: "Wish" for your guardian. I don't care how you do it. You can say it out loud. You can say it in your head. You can make a fancy ceremony. Do whatever you feel is good enough to "get" you some sort of divine guidance. Exercise your make-believe muscles, people! EXAMPLE: I don't remember what I did, but I think I said a little prayer of some sort. XD Yes, I'm serious. It's just like any kind of prayer to any higher force out there.. just that this is a little more specific!
STEP 10: SEND YOUR DRAWING TO ME! I wish to file it away in a part of my database! :D Further details and specifics: http://meibatsu.livejournal.com/9363.html My birthday is on the 28th in case anyone forgot.. XD
Stolenz'd from playdomask--well, I only stole the part I liked--which is what REAL PRO thieves do--because only amateurs nab extra junk:
TEN THINGS TO TEN PEOPLE 01. I am constantly in fear of failing and failing to you. 02. I've always admired the underdog anyway. 03. You are not alone. And you are loved. 04. I'm sorry I couldn't do much more for you because you are so very special to me. 05. I'm really glad I met you, even though you're not a very good person. You're damned hot though. And I hope we can call a truce or have an alliance one day. 06. You're more awesome than words can describe and sometimes I wonder how it would be like if roles were switched. 07. I accept, and I don't mind. I really wish that you and I could laugh together one day. 08. I know I haven't called you for a very long time, but I'm glad you were still waiting for me to... And I hope you are still waiting and ready to answer when I do. 09. You inspire me too. 10. Thank you.
Also:
It's a bunch of crabs holding up the Canadian flag because Canada rocks and so do clipping crabs! XD Plus, it's my brother's birthday, and he's a Cancerian Canadian--it all works out!

What a great idea. I don't know how they came up with it, but it has generated so many beautiful pieces of work and glimpses at human vulnerability that I am left awestruck. This kind of makes me wish I could send something too.
The girl on the right in the first pic is the same girl as the one on the left in the second pic. ;) It's her birthday today.
I think Cheti is incredibly cute because he's so short (my height) and dresses rediculously for a "God of Death". He's the middle guy that's on his toes.
Hmmm. Not sure why I felt like I needed to write this up on here, but I might as well anyway--good for keeping track of what my mind rambles about.
Anyway, I was rceently thinking about the difference between what I believe is true and what I secretly wish were true. Sometimes, these two things overlap and I gain CONFIDENCE and CONVICTION, but most times, I am just amusing myself with wishful thinking and cowering in doubt. I suggest everyone should make such a list themselves because it's fun.. and kind of scary. When you go back to look at it in 5 years, maybe you'll be surprised.
You don't have to read the rest. The rest is pretty much me thinking about what I think (pretty boring stuff).
